What is Cross-stitch and how does it work?

1. What is Cross-stitch?
Cross-stitch is YOU!
It's the members of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod being “stitched together” to support unbudgeted Home and Foreign Mission projects.

2. How does Cross-stitch work?
Mission congregations, missionaries and the Board for Home and Foreign Missions contact the Cross-stitch Board to consider raising funds for unbudgeted projects. The Cross-stitch Board considers the needs and requests of these projects, selects a broad range of home and foreign projects to sponsor and sets a monetary goal for the year.

A yearly newsletter, is published to inform and thank you. This newsletter is sent out to all the churches just prior to your circuit's Women's Mission Rally. Rev. Steve Petersen, the synod Missions Counselor, visits many of the fall and winter Ladies Mission Rallies to further explain and update what is happening in the mission fields.
[note: The Cross-stitch newsletter is available online to download]
