Lenten Poem: Christ Did It All

Christ Did It All

God has revealed His righteousness

Through Jesus Christ His Son.

Christ lived the perfect life for us;

For us the victory’s won.

Born of a virgin, under law;

Christ did what we could not.

He kept God’s laws so perfectly

Without one single blot.

He suffered at the hands of men.

He took our punishment.

Nails pierced His flesh and caused Him pain

When to the cross He went.

He hung upon that cross to bear

The burden of our sins.

He died because God loves us so

And wanted sin forgiven.

Christ did not stay within the grave

But, rose to make a place

In Heavenly homes before God’s throne,

And this He did by Grace.

So when our earthly race is o’er,

By faith we’ll meet the Lord;

We’ll enter Christ’s eternal home

According to God’s Word.
