Statements and confessions adopted before our synod took the name Evangelical Lutheran Synod (1918-1955).

Unity, Union, and Unionism: The Synod adopted these theses in 1936 in response to committee negotiations between the Missouri Synod, the ULCA, and the ALC for the purpose of considering closer relations between those church bodies.
